Functional Medicine
Functional Medicine identifies and address the root causes of disease and health conditions, and views the body as one integrated system, not a collection of independent organs divided. It treats the whole system, not just the symptom, using natural substances.
Naturopathic Medicine
Naturopathic medicine is a distinct primary health care profession built on a patient-centered approach that emphasizes prevention, treatment, and optimal health through the use of therapeutic methods and substances that support the body’s natural ability to heal and help the patient achieve sustainable health and wellness. Naturopathic Doctors treat the root causes of disease and address preventable risk factors, using a wide range of science-and evidence-based, natural and conventional therapies.
RMT
Registered Massage Therapy is also known as Swedish Massage. It is the hands-on manipulation of soft tissues (muscles, tendons, joints, and ligaments) to relieve the effects of stress and injury on the body. Massage therapy has a therapeutic effect and improves health and well-being by acting on the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems, not to mention the obvious benefit and importance of reducing stress! Tanya Hamlet has also received advanced accreditation in lymphatic massage.
Manual Osteopathy
Manual Osteopathy utilizes a gentle hands-on approach that includes structural (bone and joint), myofascial (muscle and fascia), visceral (organ), and cranial-sacral approaches to care. Traditional Osteopathic philosophy demands that the body be addressed as an integrated unit, and as such the goal of treatment is to restore the natural, healthy integrated state of structures within, while respecting all components of the patient: body, mind, and spirit.

Athletic Therapy
Certified Athletic Therapists are best known for their quick-thinking on-field emergency care of professional and elite athletes. The first to respond when someone gets hurt, they are experts at injury assessment and rehabilitation. It is that same mix of on-site care and active rehabilitation skills that makes Athletic Therapists so effective in treating the musculoskeletal (muscles, bones, and joints) injuries of all Canadians, whether on the field or in the clinic.
Athletic Therapists adhere to the Sports Medicine Model of care. They treat a wide range of patients, from kids with concussions to seniors recovering from hip replacement surgery, using various manual therapies, modalities, exercise prescription and even bracing and taping. The treatment varies but the objective does not: an Athletic Therapist's goal is to help clients return to their usual activities, whether that means playing competitive sports or walking to the mailbox and back. The ultimate goal is a safe reintegration into an active lifestyle.

Energy Therapy
Science is now beginning to provide evidence supporting the theory that all injury, pain, and disease begins with an energy imbalance which can actually alter the chemistry in your body. Imbalances or blockages in our energy flow can be caused by trauma, suppressed emotion or continued lower vibrational states such as stress, depression or anxiety. This is something ancient cultures instinctively knew as they mapped out meridian lines, spin points (such as the major chakras) and auric fields in and around the human body and devised practices and therapies to balance the body’s energy, such as yoga, reiki, and acupuncture.
